Ready Already Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 29, 2026. This policy explains how Ready Already handles information for adult-managed accounts, personalized books, libraries, checkout, support, the website, app, and related services. We do not sell children's book details or use child reading content for targeted advertising.

Section 1

What We Collect

Ready Already is designed for adults to use with children. Children read books under a parent, guardian, teacher, tutor, or other authorized adult account.

  • Account information, such as your email address, sign-in session, account ID, book-credit balance, and purchase history.

  • Book information you choose to provide, such as a reader's first name or nickname, known words, challenge words, reading settings, and story ideas.

  • Finished book information, such as book titles, story text, illustrations, reading progress, read counts, ratings, and library records.

  • Payment information needed to complete purchases. Payment providers and app stores may process purchases, subscriptions, receipts, refunds, and related purchase events where applicable. We do not store full card numbers.

  • Contact and support information, such as your name, email, topic, message, the page you came from, and basic browser information when you submit a form.

  • Technical information, such as device, browser, IP-derived request information, cookies, local storage, logs, and security signals needed to run the site and app.

  • Newsletter information if you choose to subscribe, such as your email address.

Section 2

Children's Privacy

The Service is for adult-managed accounts. Children should not create accounts, make purchases, contact support, or submit personal information on their own.

Adults may enter limited child-related information to create a reading experience, such as a first name, nickname, known words, or reading preferences. Please avoid full legal names, home addresses, school names, birthdates, medical details, photos, or other sensitive child information unless a feature clearly asks for it and you have the right to provide it.

We do not sell children's personal information and do not use child book details for targeted advertising. If you believe a child gave us personal information without appropriate adult involvement, contact us and we will review it.

Section 3

How We Use Information

  • Create, save, display, and manage personalized books and libraries.

  • Create story text, titles, illustrations, and book layouts.

  • Run safety checks, moderation, abuse prevention, fraud prevention, and security monitoring.

  • Manage accounts, book-credit records, purchases, refunds, receipts, and support requests.

  • Improve reliability, fix bugs, understand feature use, and make the app easier to use.

  • Send account, transactional, support, newsletter, or service-related messages when appropriate.

  • Comply with legal, tax, payment, safety, and operational obligations.

Section 4

Advertising & Measurement

We may use advertising and measurement partners to understand adult marketing, pricing, account, checkout, and support visits, measure campaigns, limit repeated ads, and improve our launch spend.

These partners may receive limited technical and event information such as page visits, device/browser signals, campaign parameters, and purchase or signup events. We do not send children's book details, reader names, known words, challenge words, story prompts, generated book text, or book titles to ad platforms.

Advertising pixels are not intended for children's reading surfaces. We honor Global Privacy Control where it is sent, and you can use the control below to opt out of advertising sale/share-style disclosures and paid-media conversion sharing.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Turn this on to stop advertising pixels and paid-media conversion sharing on this browser. If you are signed in, we also save the choice on your account.

Section 5

AI and Book Creation

To create books, we may send the reader name or nickname, word lists, story settings, story instructions, draft story text, and safety-review text to AI and safety providers. This currently includes OpenAI for story, title, image, vision, and moderation features.

Finished books may include story text, images, titles, metadata, and reading records. Adults are responsible for reviewing finished books before sharing them with children.

To make future books better and more consistent for your account, we keep a first-party learning record when a book is finished and as it is read. This may include the reader name or nickname you entered, your word lists, the book title, the finished story text, and reading signals such as reads, rereads, favorites, ratings, and share activity. We use this only to improve the books, illustrations, and reading experience we create for you. We do not use this record to build advertising profiles, we do not sell or share it for advertising, and we do not use children's book details for targeted advertising.

You stay in control of this learning record. You can request a copy of it through the data export in account settings, and deleting your account removes this learning record along with your books and book details. It is kept only for as long as your account uses the Service, and we do not repurpose it for unrelated secondary uses. See “Your Choices” below to export or delete your information.

Section 6

Who Helps Us Run the Service

We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the Service. These providers may process information for us under their own security and privacy practices.

  • Supabase for authentication, account records, and private book storage for books and book images.

  • Payment providers, purchase-management services, and app stores for saved payment methods, customer records, purchase processing, fraud checks, subscriptions, receipts, refunds, and payment events where applicable.

  • OpenAI for AI story and image creation, vision analysis, and safety moderation.

  • Upstash QStash for helping book-making jobs run reliably.

  • Resend or other email providers for transactional messages and newsletter confirmation.

  • Hosting, monitoring, logging, and security providers used to keep the site and app available.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users or children, to prevent abuse or fraud, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

Section 7

Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies, local storage, and similar browser technologies for sign-in, session security, preferences, account features, checkout and billing, app installation, and basic app functionality. You can control some browser storage through your device or browser settings, but some features may stop working if required storage is disabled.

Section 8

How Long We Keep Information

We keep account, library, book-credit, finished book, contact, and payment-related records for as long as needed to provide the Service, support your account, meet legal or tax obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain backups.

If you delete a book or ask us to delete account information, we will process the request where we can. Some records may remain for a limited time in backups, logs, payment records, safety records, or legal records where retention is necessary.

Account deletion removes or anonymizes your account fields, child-identifying book details, story records, private book images, and book files where they exist. We retain minimal balance-ledger and payment summary records when needed for accounting, refunds, chargebacks, fraud prevention, tax, or legal integrity.

Section 9

Your Choices

  • Use a nickname or fictional name instead of a child's full legal name.

  • Review and delete books from your account where account controls allow it.

  • Export your account data from account settings, including profile fields, books, public share-link records, book image and file references, book-credit ledger entries, and payment summaries.

  • Request account data deletion from account settings, or contact us to ask for access, correction, deletion, or export of personal information.

  • Unsubscribe from optional newsletter or marketing emails when an unsubscribe option is provided.

  • Contact us about privacy, safety, accessibility, billing, or account concerns.

Section 10

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information, including signed-in account access, private book storage, account access controls, payment processing through payment providers and app stores where applicable, and safety and abuse monitoring. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

Section 11

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service changes. The Last updated date shows when this page was last revised. If we make material changes, we may provide notice in the app, by email, or by another reasonable method.
